Fluke Networks DSX-PC6S

The Fluke Networks DSX-PC6S is a Patch Cord Test Adapter Set designed for certifying Cat 6 patch cords using the DSX CableAnalyzer Series on the Versiv cabling certification platform. It enables testing and certification of Cat 6 patch cords to industry standards, complementing the permanent link and channel testing capabilities of the DSX-5000 and DSX-8000 CableAnalyzer modules.

The DSX-PC6S is compatible with both the DSX-5000 and DSX-8000 CableAnalyzer modules on the Versiv platform. The DSX-5000 certifies cabling up to Cat 6A / Class FA at 1000 MHz, while the DSX-8000 certifies up to Cat 8 / Class I/II at 2000 MHz. Both modules support Cat 6 patch cord testing when equipped with the DSX-PC6S adapter set.

The DSX CableAnalyzer Series with the DSX-PC6S supports TIA Cat 3, 4, 5, 5e, 6, 6A, and 8 per the TIA 568 Series, as well as ISO/IEC Class C, D, E, EA, F, FA, and I/II certification per the ISO/IEC 11801 Series. The DSX is compliant with ANSI/TIA-1152-A Level 2G and IEC 61935-1 Ed. 5 Level VI field tester accuracy requirements and has obtained Intertek (ETL) verification.

The DSX-8000 completes a full 2-way Autotest of Cat 5e or Cat 6 in 7 seconds, Cat 6A in 8 seconds, and Cat 8 in 16 seconds. The DSX-5000 completes Cat 5e or Cat 6 in 9 seconds and Cat 6A in 10 seconds. Diagnostic HDTDX/HDTDR tests take approximately 3 seconds on both models, enabling rapid troubleshooting of cabling faults.

The DSX CableAnalyzer measures Wire Map, Length, Propagation Delay, Delay Skew, DC Loop Resistance, Insertion Loss, Return Loss, NEXT, ACR-N, ACR-F (ELFEXT), Power Sum ACR-F, Power Sum NEXT, Power Sum ACR-N, Power Sum Alien Near End Crosstalk (PS ANEXT), and Power Sum Alien Attenuation Crosstalk Ratio Far End (PS AACR-F). It also supports TCL, ELTCTL, CDNEXT, CMRL, Resistance Unbalance, and shield integrity measurements.

The DSX CableAnalyzer features High Definition Time Domain Crosstalk (HDTDX) and HDTDR diagnostics that graphically display the source of failures including crosstalk and distance to shield faults. It is the first field tester to report distance to shield integrity issues, which is especially important in datacenters and Cat 8 installations. Dedicated diagnostics run with a simple one-button test that saves all data for remote analysis.

The DSX CableAnalyzer uses the ProjX management system to organize jobs with individual project files, track 0-100% completion status, and create automatic punch lists for failed tests via the Fix Later feature. LinkWare Live cloud service allows project managers to remotely set up testers, monitor job progress, and locate testers from any smart device. It manages up to 12,000 Cat 6A test results with full graphics.

In addition to the DSX-PC6S for Cat 6 patch cords, Fluke Networks offers the DSX-PC5ES for Cat 5e patch cords and the DSX-PC6AS for Cat 6A patch cords. The DSX platform also supports permanent link adapters, channel adapters, coax adapters (DSX-COAX), and M12 4-position adapters (DSX-CHA021S), as well as TERA and GG45 adapters for the DSX-5000, making it a versatile solution for diverse cabling environments.
