The Viavi T-BERD is the industry's smallest handheld 10G instrument. This Ethernet, SONET, SDH, OTN, CPRI/OBSAI, and fiber-optic tester is best suited for in-field network applications. This superior test set is rugged and compact and features ultra-modern interfaces, such as SFP/SFP /SFP28 and QSFP /QSFP28/CFP4. The 5800-100G is a great choice for high-quality Ethernet/IP network testing, mobile and back-haul characterization, validation, and troubleshooting.

JDSU T-BERD 5800 Advanced Testing Features

The JDSU 5800 handheld network tester offers advanced testing features that support faster, more accurate network testing. They include:

This JDSU test equipment also features a large seven-inch multi-touch display and a tablet-like intuitive user interface for convenient navigation through test information and advanced workflows. The streamlined user interface displays simple pass/fail, green/red results. The dual-port operation of the JDSU 5800 test equipment can efficiently perform two tests simultaneously, including 100G/high-speed tests.

The T-BERD-5800 is compatible with the P5000i fiber microscope for convenient connector end-face inspection and analysis, and the MP-Series optical power meters for easy optical power and loss measurements. It can also be used with OTDR modules for accurate fiber-link characterization and fault finding. It also features extended battery life for longer in-field test times and offload results, and boots up quickly from power-on to test start.
