The T-BERD 8000 Transport module enables service providers to rapidly, reliably and cost-effectively deploy transmission services in one convenient package. An important complement to the existing T-BERD 8000 product line, the module supports 10GigE, GigE, SONET and T-carrier testing in the industry's most innovative test solution. The C8555 module includes - 10G (IR) SONET or SDH @ 1310/1550 nm and 2.5G/622M/155M SONET or SDH Tx/Rx @ 1310/1550 nm. Electrical interfaces include STM-1(e), E4, DS3, E1 Tx/Rx (SDH version) or STS-1, DS3, T1 Tx/Rx (SONET version). For 10GigE LAN, product includes 1 x Tx/Rx @ 1550/1310 nm. For GigE and below, product includes - 1 x 10/100M Electrical Tx/Rx (Single Port), 1 x GigE optical (850/1310 nm) Tx/Rx (Single Port). Functionality includes VLAN, RFC 2544, Throughput, Connectivity and QoS capability for Layers 1 and 2.
