1GHz-22GHz Signal Generator The SMF100A microwave signal generator delivers pure signals up to 43.5 GHz. New options can extend the frequency range of SMF100A upward to 43.5 GHz and downward from 1 GHz to 100 kHz. These new capabilities are particularly attractive for the aerospace and defense sector as well as manufacturers of microwave modules and components who demand a highly precise, flexible signal source covering a wide frequency range. The SMF100A microwave signal generator offers an output power of up to 26 dBm (at 20 GHz). It is thus an ideal signal source for mixer measurements. This unit even replaces local oscillators of high-level mixers without requiring an additional amplifier, which simplifies the test setup and reduces costs. The SMF100A has an unprecedented SSB value of typ. -120 dBc (at 10 GHz/10 kHz offset) and its high harmonics and spurious suppression allow users to control DUTs by means of ultra-pure signals. Users benefit from a flexible signal source that covers a wide frequency range and is capable of handling a variety of measurement requirements. The following options are available from Rohde & Schwarz for the R&S SMF100A, which is well-established in the market: R&S SMF-B2 (frequency extension 100 kHz to 1 GHz), the R&S SMF-B144 (frequency range 1 GHz to 43.5 GHz), and R&S SMF-K4 (ramp sweep).
