The Keysight (formerly Agilent) N8488A is a thermocouple power sensor belonging to the Keysight N8480 series, which replace the legacy 8480 series of power sensors by the same manufacturer. The N8480 series devices come with an integrated EEPROM module, which can be used to store calibration factors for the power meter and thus, avoids any errors owing to manual entry of these factors, which was needed earlier. As a result, not only does this ensure greater power measurement accuracy and repeatability, it also comes with a wider dynamic range, linearity and SWR. What makes the N8488A stand out from other sensors in the same series is that it has a wider frequency range than them, from 10 MHz to 67 GHz.
