The FTB Lite 720D is a dedicated, connected access OTDR designed for efficient construction, activation, and troubleshooting of singlemode and multimode fiber networks. It delivers strong optical performance with dynamic range suitable for access and PON architectures, short dead zones for accurate event resolution, and support for both live and dark fiber testing, including in‑service 1650 nm measurements with an optional inline PON power meter. Built‑in iOLM further simplifies testing by automating acquisition and analysis across multiple wavelengths and presenting clear pass/fail results in an intuitive link view, reducing training requirements and minimizing repeat work.

A defining capability of the FTB Lite 720D is its always‑on mobile connectivity, enabled through integrated LTE, Wi‑Fi, Bluetooth, and GNSS with a provided basic data plan. This constant connection allows test results, job data, and reports to be shared automatically and in real time through the EXFO Exchange platform, supporting streamlined compliance, faster collaboration, and better visibility for supervisors and back‑office teams. With direct cloud access from the instrument, software updates, reporting, and data management are handled seamlessly from the field, helping organizations improve efficiency, enforce procedures, and accelerate project timelines without adding complexity to technicians’ workflows.
